Welcome to the Oregon State Radio Project collaboration article, a Multi-State Public Trunked Radio System located in Oregon, Washington, United States.
This is where you, the user, may index any articles you develop for scanning related topics for this Trunked Radio System.

  • Some talkgroups on this system may be using P25 Phase II TDMA modulation, which can only be monitored using a P25 Phase II capable scanner or receiver.

Numbering System

The Oregon State Radio Project follows a standard numbering scheme for all talkgroups and Unit IDs. Other local Public Safety Project 25 systems in the state such as Salem P25, SW 7 County Interoperable Public Safety Radio Partnership and Frontier Digital Network generally follow this same numbering system. Project 25 systems in the Portland Metropolitan Area such as Portland P25 and Washington County Consolidated Communications Agency (WCCCA) do not follow this scheme. All county talkgroups and assigned Unit IDs will begin with the county number in alphabetical order. Talkgroup IDs are 4 or 5 digits, Unit IDs are 6 or 7 digits depending on the county number. Single digit counties do not have a leading zero. Talkgroups and Unit IDs above 36 belong to individual state agencies as noted below.

  1. BAKER
  2. BENTON
  3. CLACKAMAS
  4. CLATSOP
  5. COLUMBIA
  6. COOS
  7. CROOK
  8. CURRY
  9. DESCHUTES
  10. DOUGLAS
  11. GILLIAM
  12. GRANT
  13. HARNEY
  14. HOOD RIVER
  15. JACKSON
  16. JEFFERSON
  17. JOSEPHINE
  18. KLAMATH
  19. LAKE
  20. LANE
  21. LINCOLN
  22. LINN
  23. MALHEUR
  24. MARION
  25. MORROW
  26. MULTNOMAH
  27. POLK
  28. SHERMAN
  29. TILLAMOOK
  30. UMATILLA
  31. UNION
  32. WALLOWA
  33. WASCO
  34. WASHINGTON
  35. WHEELER
  36. YAMHILL
  37. UNKNOWN
  38. OREGON STATE POLICE
  39. UNKNOWN
  40. OREGON DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

For example, if you see talkgroup 9031, first digit is 9 identifying this as a Deschutes County talkgroup. Similarly Radio ID 905003 would belong to Deschutes County.

There are a limited number of patches that were created early in the Oregon State Radio Project building phase that do not follow this system, they begin with 40 as Department of Transportation groups and Unit IDs.
