The similar styled scanner as the Uniden BCT8 but with silver colored control panel (like all other newer Radio Shack scanners). It has one feature that it is not found on the BCT8 that is: Signal Stalker™ (identical to Uniden's Close Call™ feature) RF Capture Technology - Instantly tunes to signals from nearby transmitters. Also the PC interface is different, it uses the GRE/RadioShack model 20-289 cable, which is common with the current line of Radio Shack scanners instead of a RS-232 cable.

The main difference in this scanner against the BCT8 is that the firmware is a mix of GRE and Uniden specifications; thus, any software for the BCT8 will not work with the PRO-2051.
