==City Notes==
2009.12.10 - WFMZ-TV staffer confirms WFMZ's Reading newsroom has Reading TRS radio capable of monitoring RPD.

Why can't the public request the same thing from the city? I guess no one has tried.

(QUESTION: Now that RPD has rebanded, can someone confirm nothing has changed regarding RPD TAC2?)

Reading police TG 16112, PD Tac 2, is operating digital but not encrypted.

Note: Confirmed through monitoring summer 2009 that there is clear traffic on Tac 2. Unsure if this is clear all the time or if there is an error in the programming of some of the radios (i.e. encryption selectable instead of strapped) that allows for accidental clear traffic. - B Russell
