The R2500 is the PCR2500 with control head included. The main improvement over the PCR1500/R1500 is the Dualwatch operation and Diversity operation modes, DV and P25 Digital receive modes (optional).

• APCO-25 Reception Above 780 MHz - Detailed Information here available on how to remove the diode that blocks PCR2500 Radios from receiving P25 signals with the addon board when frequencies are above 780 MHz.

Supporting Software

Currently only Icom's software supports the R2500 and PCR2500 receivers. Hopefully more will follow. This software is NOT available yet for download. A link will be posted when it is. Here are a few screenshots of the Icom software.
