The Communications Center operates an 800 MHz trunked radio system for police, fire and emergency management personnel. The system is part of a countywide radio system supported by Greene County and City Utilities of Springfield, MO, which was put into use in July 2002. Back-up PSPA in city of Republic. The 800 Mhz trunked radio system has added a high degree of reliability from previous VHF communications. The Communications Center contains two Centracom Gold Elite Consoles for police and fire communications. Communications for Public Works and other agencies are accomplished through VHF radio equipment.

Joint TRS system for the City of Springfield, Greene County and City Utilities. This is a very large system that can be heard well outside the county. This is an Astro digital system with a 3.6KB analog control channel. It is primarily analog except a few encrypted & digital IDs.
