Timmins Police Department
TPD uses 3 channels for operation
- 142.485 - Ch 1: Dispatch
- 142.77 / 138.75 (input freq) - Ch 2: Secondary dispatch and Police PCom
- Ch 3: ERT (SWAT), Tac and Special Events (Christmas Parade, RIDE program...)
When a major crime occurs (like a stabbing), Ch 2: Police PCom (142.77 and 138.75) becomes the primary dispatch channel and Ch 1: Primary dispatch channel becomes the channel that all units on the major crime will be communicating on.
I made this conclusion by only monitoring TPD for 2 years with 2 major crimes occuring when I was monitoring TPD. If i'm mistaken, please don't hesitate to correct me.

Timmins Fire Deptartment
There's 6 fire halls in Timmins:
- Central (downtown Timmins corner of Ceadar St. S & 2nd Ave) - only hall with full-time firefighter
- Mountjoy - volunteer hall
- Whitney - volunteer hall
- Procupine - volunteer hall
- South Porcupine - volunteer hall
- Schumacker - volunteer hall
Timmins EMS
TEMS have 2 bases. They are on:
- Algonquin BLVD E where the old Royal Rotary Club building was (beside Speedy in front of the Hollinger Park) - refered on air as « 0 Base »
- Bruce Ave in South Porcupine - refered on air as « 01 Base »
Timmins Paramedics operate on tg 35296 of the Bell Fleetnet zone 3. Gogama/Folyett operate on tg 35312 and Iroquois Falls on tg 36480 (not sure of the accruay of those two). All other city within Cochrane County operate on the Out of Town tg 35328.
