Clark County

Clark County is in OSP District 5 and is patrolled by Post 12.

Madison County

Madison County is in OSP District 6 and is patrolled by Post 49, located in West Jefferson.

=Franklin County

Local public safety operations for most agencies covering Interstate 70 in Franklin County take place on the Franklin County Public Safety trunked system. Fire departments of interest on the system are the Columbus Fire Department (including Franklin Township Fire Department), Prairie Township Fire Department, and MECC departments (6 fire departments sharing one dispatch center). Relevant law enforcement agencies are the Franklin County Sheriff and Columbus Police. Reynoldsburg Police operates on a conventional UHF frequency.

Franklin County is in OSP District 6 and is patrolled by Posts 49, 21, 45, 23, and 65.

Fairfield Counties

The Violet Township Fire Department, which covers the small portion of Interstate 70 in Fairfield County, is dispatched by MECC on the Franklin County Public Safety system. The Pickerington Police Department and Fairfield County Sheriff are on UHF conventional frequencies.

Madison County is in OSP District 6 and is patrolled by Post 23, located in Lancaster.

Licking County

All Licking County public safety agencies covering I-70 operate on conventional VHF frequencies. The Licking County Sheriff dispatches the Union Township and Kirkersville Police Departments. The West Licking Joint Fire District operates on a high band repeater, and the other departments operate on low band. A high band repeater (158.760) is located near the freeway by the Licking Township Fire Company in Jacksontown.

Licking County is in OSP District 6 and is patrolled by Post 45, located near Granville.

Muskingum County

Muskingum County Fire Departments are dispatched on and operate primarily on 33.980 (there are several VHF repeaters throughout the county), but are moving towards operating on MARCS. Zanesville police and fire operate on VHF conventional frequencies. The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office operates primarily on Ohio MARCS.

Muskingum County is in OSP District 7 and is patrolled by Post 60, located near Zanesville.
