System Notes

All sites have been assigned "Zones" respective to their network. With Uniden scanners this is the first digit of the site number (i.e., 301 means Zone 3, Site 1). GRE scanners announce the Zone (R###) and the Site number separately.

  • 1## Washington State Sites
  • 2## Southeast US
  • 3## Southern California (29 Palms) /North East / Midwest
  • 4## Virginia Sites
  • 5## Southern California (MCB Camp Pendleton & NWS Fallbrook)

NAC for this system is $140.

BCD996T Notes

Use care when manually programming this system into an older BCD996T scanner using FreeScan. If you inadvertently ever select "P25 Standard (Digital XT)" in FreeScan it will create a bandplan that includes 700MHz. Because the 996T does not receive 700MHz frequencies it will appear to program normally via FreeScan, but will not track the system despite appearances.

You must manually delete the 700MHz APCO bandplan entry to allow the 996T to track the system.

Users who have imported the system from RadRef into FreeScan report good results, however.
