==Creating and Editing Profiles in Sentinel==

== Overview ==

*At initial startup, when you entered the zip code in the HP1, your first HomePatrol‐1 profile (named "Preset") was started. The owner information, location, Favorites you create, Avoids you set, whether you are using Location Control, what Service types you select, your current display settings and all of the other settings and choices you make on the HP1 are collected in the profile on the HP1. Every time you read from the HP1 using Sentinel, that profile information is transferred to your computer. The HP1 only stores and uses one profile at a time - remember, if you want to significantly change the current profile, save it in Sentinel first.

*Multiple profiles have several uses:

**Scanning from different locations with entirely different configurations.

**Individual users can have their own custom scanning configuration with different Favorites, location, range settings and other setting choices.

**Test environments with different range, location, Favorite configurations. This is useful for not only testing of the scanner, but also in setting up Exports, Add Channels on Range, mapping and other Sentinel functions.
