Introduction

RadioFeed can replace Edcast/Oddcast and SimpleCast audio streamer programs. RadioFeed gets the audio source from the audio input jack, encodes it, and sends it out to the internet. Optional metadata(text tags) can also be sent.

RadioFeed contains a source client and a web server. The source client streams to RadioReference, Icecast, and ShoutCast servers. The web server is a server and does not connect to an external server.

Audio Level Adjustment Procedure.
It's perfered to have all the level controls up in RadioFeed and the Windows Mixer Line-In / Microphone. Note that these are attenuation controls only and not amplification controls. There is only one control that should be adjusted and it's the most critical of them all. It is the radio/scanner audio output level. Tune the radio to a constant channel such as weather or a control channel frequency. Now turn the radio volume up until you hear saturation and back of 10%. If the left or right channel does not have a radio connected, then turn channel down that channel to 0%. The line in or mic input setting may need to be configured in the Windows Mixer. Clicking the Windows Mixer button loads up the Windows mixer. The Left and Right level indicators should move with the scanner audio if the audio setup is correct.

STEP 4 - Source Client and/or Web Server Setup
