On July 19, 2006, the Simi Valley Police Dept. switched to their new P25 UHF radio system. All radio cars are equipped with low power 50-Watt Motorola ASTRO Spectras with W-5 control heads. All officers are issued Motorola XTS-5000 II handhelds. The channel plan below covers Zone 1 on the radios. Zones 2 and 3 are programmed with outside neighboring agencies that are on UHF, ie LAPD and LASO<br/>
