VX-130

The VX-130 a compact commercial portable built on the same chassis as the VX-160 and VX-180. It is available in two flavors. The VX-131 is the one channel model, and the VX-132 is the two channel model. Both are available on VHF-high and UHF bands. The two channel models have a simple toggle switch for channel selection where the channel selector knob is located on the VX-160 and VX-180. The single channel models have a flat plastic blank in place of the channel selector, with only a volume control and antenna on the top of the radio.

Both models have a side mounted PTT and monitor button, just like the VX-160/VX-180, and there is a speaker/microphone connection on the opposite side. It appears that there are only 22 available channels for the VHF models, and 56 available channels for the UHF models. CTCSS, DCS, and bandwidth selection is available per channel, but it does not appear that repeater operation is available. See the Frequency Tables for more information.
