Because the WISCOM system is the de facto replacement for the WI State Patrol conventional VHF radio system, the State Patrol will be the first and largest state agency using the system for day-to-day operations.
Other potential users include the DNR and WEM, however nothing is set in stone at this point.

At this time, at least one private EMS provider has expressed a desire to use the WISCOM system.
