This page is devoted to the Yaesu FRG-7 analog receiver. It was manufactured in the late 70s and early 80s. Early versions did not have a fine tuning control, and distributors such as Gilfer Shortwave of Park Ridge NJ and Radio West of Cupertino California added it, along with numerous other mods, such as additional filters, switchable AGC, digital readout and more. These distributors no longer exist. The receiver has maintained its popularity as a good entry level receiver, despite it having an analog readout.
