This page is devoted to the Yaesu FRG-9600. It was one of Yaesu's first attempts in the wide band scanner market; while this radio enjoyed some success in Europe and Asia, it never caught on in the US, partially due to its odd frequency coverage, which omits the VHF Lo band (60-905 Mhz). It is also prone to overloading in high RF density areas.
