Jefferson County is in the process of moving to the AFRN network. In doing so they are changing the Talkgroup id's for digital channels. The numbers they have changed so far appear to follow a pattern which means they can easily be identified and updated on the AFRN reference page.

This appears to only apply to digital talkgroups. Analog talkgroups appear to retain the original id.

The old talkgroup id's when converted to Hexadecimal was a four character hex value. For example

JCSO Centerpoint has a decimal id of 41008 which is A030 in hex. JCSO Centerpoint on the AFRN is decimal id 2563 which is A03 in hex.

Radio reference only displays the first three characters of the hex value on the website. The new talkgroup id's can be determined by converting the first three characters of the hexadecimal value to decimal.

D.41008 -> H.A030 -> H.A03 -> D.2563
