The MVT-7200 is the same as the MVT-7100 except for the following:
- Added 2.4KHz SSB Filter
- Includes narrow AM Mode
- Additonal step size of 125KHz on WFM only
- Internal Ferrite Bar Antenna
- Permanent backlight possible
The MVT 7100 is reguarded as the most sensitive scanner produced so far.

- 5, 10, 12.5, 25, 50, 100KHz steps (50, 100KHz WFM only)
- Scan rate 30 cps
