Revision as of 18:23, 13 April 2020
This page is devoted to the Yaesu VR-5000, which was jointly developed with Standard of Japan. This wide band receiver was marred in its first releases by buggy firmware, poor RF performance above 800 MHz and insufficient internal shielding. Later revisions addressed some of these issues. Consequently, this receiver is not as popular as it could have been, and never achieved its true potential.
