- Code 99 means Acknowledge Lynn is part of MetroFire and Southern Essex Fire Mutual Aid. Nearest box number is given for telephone alarms. Two slow rounds of the box number are sent over the dispatch channel. The first digit of a fire alarm box number is the ward. Ward numbering starts in the north end of the city and "rotates" around the city clockwise.
