GCEMS dispatches for several area fire departments on frequencies 453.500 and 155.235. 453.500 is also GCEMS Tactical Channel 2.
Transport (ALS) units are designated with the unit number and a "1" or "2" in front of that unit number. "1" is used for day shift units (0630-1830) and "2" is for night shift units (1830-0630.) Day shift units are 101 through 114, and night shift units are 201 through 214. Transport (ALS) units that operate only for 12 hours (as opposed to the 24 hour trucks) have a "3" in front of their unit number. As of now, there is only one 12 hour truck, and it is designated 301. Quick Response units are designated as "medic" and are numbered one through six.
All of the current ALS transports are running in late model Ford squads.
