General Information
The West Virginia Air National Guard's 167th Airlift Wing/167th Airlift Squadron has transitioned from the C-130H to the C-5A Galaxy, the first of 11 C-5As for the 167th arrived at Martinsburg RAP in December 2006. The 167th AW is currently equipped with nine C-5A aircraft.
As of April 2010, the nine C-5As were confirmed as:

Two aircraft that were previously part of the unit were decommissioned at Davis-Monthan AFB in March 2011 -
- 69-0027 on March 21st, an un-repairable crack in the mainframe aft-wing section.
- 70-0459 on March 24th, chronic issues with air refueling.
