Division of Emergency Response and Technical Assessment
DERTA performs chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosives duties (in other words, haz-mat) for DEP property, and mutual aid to agencies requesting their services. They operate two haz-mat response trucks, "CBRNE-1" and "CBRNE-2," in addition to a scissor lift bucket truck, "CBRNE-3."
Police
Police units (other than noted exceptions) use their car number to identify on air. Supervisor call signs and investigator call signs are unknown at this time.
General Non-Precinct Units
The NYC DEP Police operate "Air 6" (N119NY), a helicopter used to provide aerial surveillance to watersheds--it doesn't seem to be in the air often, except for special events like Labor Day when the watersheds experience an influx of visitors. Additionally, there are two personnel transport vans "W18" and "W19," that, besides general officer transport, have an unknown duty.

Special Operations
Emergency Services Unit
ESU is responsible for pretty much everything precinct units can't handle. This ranges from everything from tactical duties to rescue operations. In addition, they are known to perform more routine police duties when the watersheds have an influx of visitors. For example, 9W39 has been heard tracking down illegal swimmers Air 6 reported, and performing a subsequent traffic stop on Labor Day. The following units are all stationed at the 6th Precinct. Additionally, 9W38 is a light tactical truck, but it's unclear where it's stationed.
