This system, installed in late 2012, serves to replace the old GE EDACS system which served the correctional facilities on the grounds south of Arch Rd and east of Newcastle Rd. There originally were four CYA facilities off Newcastle and one Women's correctional facility off Arch. As of late 2012 there are two remaining CYA facilities still operating, O.H. Close and N. A. Chaderjian. There are also two other closed facilities on property. The CHCF is currently being built and will be south of the former Women's facility. A new radio tower was constructed which can be seen from Arch Road and is where this new system transmits from. | This system, installed in late 2012, serves to replace the old GE EDACS system which served the correctional facilities on the grounds south of Arch Rd and east of Newcastle Rd.
