Timmins Police
TPD uses 3 channels for operation
- 142.485 - Ch 1: Dispatch
- 142.77 / 138.75 (input freq) - Ch 2: Secondary dispatch and Police PCom
- 143.595 - Ch 3: ERT and Tac
When a major crime occurs (like a stabbing), Ch 2: Police PCom (142.77 and 138.75) becomes the primary dispatch channel and Ch 1: Primary dispatch channel becomes the channel that all units on the major crime will be communicating on.
I made this conclusion by only monitoring TPD for 2 years with 2 major crimes occuring when I was monitoring TPD. If i'm mistaken, please don't hesitate to correct me.
