The Nova Scotia Department of Justice is responsible for operating the provinces correctional facilities, as well as the Sheriffs, which in Nova Scotia are responsible for prisoner transportation and courtroom security duties.
The department operates mostly on the Aliant Trunked Mobile Radio System (TMRS) using the following talkgroups:
