There are 6 INDOT districts in the state:
- 1 Crawfordsville
- 2 Ft. Wayne
- 3 Greenfield
- 4 LaPorte
- 5 Seymour
- 6 Vincennes
- X Indiana Government Center Units
The first number of an INDOT radio ID is the district.
Each district is divided into sub-districts. The second number of an INDOT radio ID is the sub-district number within the district, etc.
Each sub-district is divided into units. For example the Indianapolis sub-district has five units. These are the various small properties located across town where the snowplows and salt domes are staged.
