Older System Information/News Updates

Update from a contributor:
A 800MHZ freq, seems to be related to support duties, 860.9875 can be heard at my home and at my job, both at least 15 miles away.

Using a Uniden BCD396D -- there are 5 channels, one of which is control that is changed every day, so you must lock out the new one, and unlock the old. 408.8100,409.4100,408.2100,409.0100,410.0100. Here is the weird part -- I found these channels with a normal 406.00-420.00 search. I saved them to the "quick save" system and from there they decoded perfectly,"P25" appearing at the bottom of display. BUT, if you try to enter these freqs in a Motorola "P25" system like the manual says, you will never hear a thing. mostly prisoner movements, but sometimes it gets good!

ADMIN NOTE:
I am wondering if the actual frequencies are
408.21250 408.81250 409.0125 409.4125 410.01250 instead of
408.21000* 408.81000* 409.01000* 409.41000* 410.01000*
This would make the frequencies the same as 002 except for
408.81250, which could still possibly be a voice channel.

From CARMA yahoo group:

...It appears they've gone digital now, got a couple off group replies that its the Pekin prison and they havn't been able to track it with the offsets. I found the CC as 409.0125. Finally figured out the Control channel only tracking during custom searches and it comes up with a system ID of B13EH. For some reason theres no audio during Control channel only searching but I did get 2 ID's of 96 and 32. In conventional scanning mode, it tracks the digital perfect on the frequencies I listed below. Now if it can only read the control
channel in scan mode.
