GATRRS-ATCEMS UIDs

Austin/Travis County EMS (ATCEMS) currently uses UIDs in the following range: 10569000-10571999
Older radios are still in use have UIDs in the following range: 13400-14199

Fleet/Mobile UIDs

ATCEMS assigns a random UID for each ambulance that is not related to its radio identifier. Unless the radio is replaced or upgraded, the ambulance will retain the same UID during its service life.

ATCEMS ambulances routinely (every 2-3 years) change station assignments while assigned as a front line ambulance to balance out fleet wear and usage from busy stations. When assigned as a front line ambulance, the ambulance is marked with the number of the unit on the sides and back of the ambulance (Medic 15 would be marked as "15", Demand 3 would be marked as "D3"). Once an ambulance is moved from front line service to reserve, these ambulance number markings are removed. The only markings on ATCEMS ambulances that remain consistent during the service life of the ambulance is the fleet Vehicle ID which can be found on the door of the ambulance directly underneath the ATCEMS logo (ex: 14E166). The first two digits of this Vehicle ID corresponds to the model year of the chassis.

As of 2016, ATCEMS has started issuing new ambulances as well as upgrading radios on older ambulances from a consistent block of UIDs (10571700-10571799). Previously, UIDs were issued from UID block 10569000-10569099 and from 13400-14199.
