These are part of the orginal Talk Groups sets. When they realigned the TG format on the newer radios they quit using these. They basicly went to a better method of Incident Command thus needed less Talk Groups(some guys would get lost with that many TGs in the radio.) this makes for a simpler channel knob plan

These are part of the orginal Talk Groups sets. When they realigned the TG format on the newer radios they quit using these. They basicly went to a better method of Incident Command thus needed less Talk Groups(some guys would get lost with that many TGs in the radio.) this makes for a simpler channel knob plan So you have Disp, 5 Tacs with a FireOps TG and 5 Fire Grounds(simplex radio) and couple InterOp CHs and a City Wide Failsoft. So with a 16 channel knob you can do more with less. Sm0ke
