The ministry of transportation (MTQ) is responsible of the roads and highways in Quebec. They do road construction as well as road patrolling (alongside the SQ).
Road patrolling (surveillance routière) consists of patrolling the highways and roads and to intervene in case of accidents/anomalies.
They operate on RENIR (provincial P25 network) and all of their communications are encrypted.
