DMPD Codes

  • Signal 4 - Lunch/Dinner Break
  • Signal 5 - Traffic Stop
  • Signal 8 - Out at the Station or Jail

DMPD Numbering

  • Unit Numbers: MC?? - Any unit begining with MC refers to a Mobile Crisis unit. Mobile Crisis units are often called to assist officers with calls relating to mental subjects such as suicide threats. The operators of Mobile Crisis units have some sort of formal training and experience in mental health such as psychology or counseling.
  • 500 Series - Any unit number in the 500 series is a supervisor.
  • 700 Series - Any unit number in the 700 series refers to a detective. (Unit Number)
  • Adam - Any unit number followed by "Adam" indicates that the unit is a one man unit.
