Texas Forest Service (TX)

From The RadioReference Wiki

Texas Forest Service database page

The Texas Forest Service was created in 1915, as a service within Texas A&M University, that will "assume direction of all forest interests and all matters pertaining to forestry within the jurisdiction of the state."

Old Air-to-Air Frequencies

  • TFS changes their AM aircraft band air-to-air frequency plan periodically. The frequencies from older air-to-air zone maps are listed below.
  • At times when there are multiple aircraft working multiple fires in close proximity, the air attack plane will request alternate frequencies to prevent interference to the other operations. The alternate frequencies listed below were used in the past and may or may not be used again in the future.
  • It is not known how these frequencies are chosen and assigned. TFS may have a list of available frequencies assigned to them by the FAA.
