The University of Northern Iowa Campus Police department uses the following call sign system:
All officers have individual radio numbers which are the same regardless of what they are assigned as at the moment.
Numbers up to 19: Campus police officers (sworn, armed officers)
20-29: Lieutenants and Director of Public Safety
41-60: Student Patrol (unarmed student security members)
They use the Black Hawk County 10-code system, with the addition of the code 10-200, which tells an officer to pick up money from a University office to take it to the bank. This protects unarmed University employees from being robbed.
