Purpose
The WISCOM system was created as statewide interoperable radio system, for use by any public safety entity to facilitate simplified communications during disasters.
Funding
The WISCOM system is being funded initially by a one-time $15.3 million federal Public Safety Interoperable Communications (PSIC) grant. All other system upgrades or enhancements will be funded from other sources.
