The VX-6R is dual-band (triple-band in the US version) FM hand-held transceiver. It can transmit on the 144MHz (2m), 220 MHz (1.4m US version), and 440 MHz (70 cm) bands.

The VX-6R comes equipped with a 144/430 MHz rubber duck antenna, belt clip, lanyard, high-capacity 1400 mAh Lithium-Ion battery pack, and a standard charger.
