Ashe County uses VHF for nearly all communications. The Ashe County sheriff, fire and rescue/EMS channels are patched full time to VIPER.

- 2120 Radio Number - Ashe County Fire Marshal
- Ashe Medics is the primary EMS agency for the county. Both Medics and Rescue Squad are dispatched off of the VHF Rescue Channel (now patched to Ashe Rescue VIPER).
