Prattville Police Codes

Prattville PD uses the standard Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center codes, with the following exceptions:

  • 10-81, or simply 81, is used to describe a unit in the vicinity or a unit taking a dinner break. The key is that they will describe a dinner break as "clear for 81" or "enroute for 81". The letter "R" may be added for Residence (i.e. eating at home.)
  • 10-6 (Busy unless urgent) will have the letter G added for Gas - the officer is refueling his vehicle. Bomb threats are dispatched as "10-48 (assist) the fire department"
