Bell County (EDACS)
From The RadioReference Wiki
The Bell County EDACS radio system will be retired in September 2022 after years of updates to APCO P25 systems. Several years ago, all the agencies in Bell County had their equipment updated to support narrow-banding. Now with users exchanging field radios and other tedious work, the final date to retire its 800 MHz EDACS system will be replaced by a Harris Communication P25 system operating in 700/800 MHz.
Expect to see Harris XL-200 portable HT radios on the belts of first responders. Many Fire Departments are still opting for Motorola branded HT radios in their characteristic highlighter green body and body-worn speaker combination.
