Davie County (NC)

From The RadioReference Wiki

All Davie County law enforcement has moved full-time to VIPER and no longer simulcasts on UHF. Fire and EMS are on VIPER as well, but dispatch is simulcasted on VHF. Davie County's conventional frequencies, many of which are no longer in use, are listed here.

At one time, Mocksville PD maintained their own frequency, but all law enforcement agencies in the county were eventually consolidated to utilize 453.550 as the countywide dispatch channel. Originally, Davie County Fire and EMS dispatch frequencies were simplex. However, in 2011, the fire department's 154.370 frequency was converted into a repeater to allow for more effective operations. EMS on 155.265 was also converted from simplex to a repeater a few years prior. Law enforcement agencies were the first to begin utilizing VIPER. In 2014, the county patched the 453.550 law enforcement frequency to VIPER. At that time, most operations remained on UHF, but some narcotics traffic could be heard on VIPER. In April 2015, both fire and EMS dispatch traffic began to be patched to VIPER. By late 2018 (or very early 2019), all law enforcement traffic had migrated to VIPER, and the patch to 453.550 was terminated.
