  • ALS - Advance Life Support unit (Paramedic EMS)
  • BLS - Basic Life Support unit (can run oxygen, but no other equipment)
  • Bird - Medical Helicopter
  • Box Alarm - Goofy term used when requesting Mutual Aid via Dispatch center
  • Dispatch - Dispatch
  • Dispatch* - *Need to put an animal out of it's misery (Deer)

  • ETOH - Intoxicated (Drunk)

  • First Responders - (may also be rescue) Units that provide trained medical assistance on scene, often to ambulance personnel
