- DK = Drunk ETOH
- On board = Drunk/been drinking
- DOA = Dead on arrival
- POS = Police Officers Statement/Party is acting goofy(Mental Problems or Alcohol/drug problems.)
- OSM = Officer safety message
PD Unit IDs
Colorado Springs PD uses the Format NLNN (N=Number, L=Letter)
The first digit represents the Subdivision.
- 1=Citywide
- 2=Gold Hill
- 3=Sand Creek
- 4=Falcon
- 5=Stetson Hills
The letter represents unit type.
- Adam = Single Officer Car
- Baker = Double Officer Car (2B, Colorado State Patrol)
- Charlie = Chaplain or Senior Victims Advocate
- David = Detective
- Edward = Explorer (not officially an officer but in the explorer program)
- Frank = Fountain PD
- George = S.O. unit
- Henry = ?
- Ida = V.I.P. Escort Unit
- Lincoln = El Paso County Sheriff's Office Lieutenant Units
- Mary = Colorado State Patrol, Manitou Springs PD and Monument PD
- Ocean = ?
- Paul = Patrol Sergeants and Lieutenants
- Robert = Police recruits and police academy instructors
- Sam = S.O. Unit
- Tom = Motorcycle Officers and DUI cars
- Union = University of Colorado, Colorado Springs units
- Victor = Unmarked cars William = "Extra Duty" officers on duty for privately paid service

The last two numbers are the sector, moving clockwise around the city. exceptions to this are the Citywide units and the following; 1X95 through 1X99 are Fire investigators 1Z62 through 1Z65 are Park Patrol Units and 1Z6 Parks Sargent (Example: 2A79 is a Gold hills single officer car on the west side)
