The FCC ID is a code created and used by the US [Federal Communications Commission[ (FCC) to identify products proposed for certification and approval. These codes are used to indicate compliance with FCC rules regarding RF emissions and other standards.
The FCC provides search tools at https://www.fcc.gov/oet/ea/fccid and https://apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/GenericSearch.cfm.
A third party site for searching the FCC equipment authorization database is https://fccid.io.
The FCC ID consists of two parts. The "Grantee Code", which is either 3 or 5 characters and makes up the first part of the ID, identifies the company The "Product Code" that makes up the remainder is of varying length.
