Georgetown County Sheriff Office

Communications start with the letter "S" for Sheriffs Office unit then the unit ID, which is determined by shift & seniority on that shift. For example S-35 designates the fifth deputy on the "A" shift. S-30, S-40 etc indicate shift sergeants. S-31, S-41, ect indicate corporals.

City of Georgetown PD

Utilize radio designations in the 100's. Shift Sgt would be 120, corporal 121 ect. Dispatch on tg-57344, Ch2 is 57296. The talkgroup 57312 is rarely used.


Andrews PD

Andrews primary dispatch is 40720 & seldom use Ch 2 on 40688. Their call signs are 200, 201 ect. They also use an unknown VHF frequency in some vehicles although it is not indicated in the database.

Georgetown County Fire Department

GCFD covers the majority of the county and is a mixed paid and volunteer membership. Radio designations are appropriate to their respective stations, example Engine 71 is the first engine out of station 7. Not all stations are manned full time. Chiefs use Battalion 91 - 93 call signs.

The City of Georgetown has a full time department & Andrews has a part time department, although neither have EMS capabilities.

Midway Fire Rescue

This department covers the Waccamaw Neck area of Georgetown County from the Georgetown City bridge to Murrells Inlet. They have three stations manned 24 hours a day. Their stations & radio call signs are station 81, 82 & 83. Companies from station 81 would be Engine 811, Tower 814 or Medic 815 ect. Chiefs are Chief 1, Battalion 81, 82 or 83. They operate the county's HazMat units & they also have several boats/watercraft for marine rescue. They also cover Sandy Island, which is only accessible by boat.

Murrells Inlet - Garden City FD

The Murrells Inlet area of Georgetown county is covered by the MI/GC FD. Their coverage area extends up to the Town of Surfside on the eastern section of the district and several miles up Hwy 707 on the western section of the district.This department operates in both Georgetown & Horry Counties but the primary dispatch is through Georgetown Communications, although they do transmit on the Horry Fire Department channels as well. Their call signs are 76 & 77 series but usually use Engine 1, Ladder 2 etc. Chief 76 & Medic 77.

They do offer significant mutual aid to Horry County FD and Surfside FD.
