Huntington County Radio Use

Huntington County Law Enforcement - Uses Project SAFE-T Full Time. Huntington County Fire - Dispatches are Multi-Cast on VHF & 35 Fire Dispatch. Units are assigned a SAFE-T talkgroup upon Dispatch. Parkview Huntington EMS - Utilizes the Parkview Hospital UHF radio system while it’s Project SAFE-T (35 PHH Disp) serves as a backup.

Fire Department Numbering

  • Huntington City Fire Department Station # 1 & Station # 3
  • Base 200 = Andrews Fire Department (Dallas Twp)
  • Base 300 = Huntington Township Fire Department (Huntington Twp)
  • Base 400 = Bippus Fire Department (“Bippus East” Clear Creek Twp. Station (Dawn Lakes) “Bippus West” Warren Twp. Station (Bippus)
  • Base 500 = Mt. Etna Fire Department (Jefferson,Lancaster,Polk & Wayne Twp’s)
  • Base 700 = Roanoke Fire Department (Jackson Twp)
  • Base 800 = Warren Fire Department (Salamonie Twp)
  • Base 900 = Markle Fire Department (Rock Creek & Union Twp’s one of each in both Huntington & Wells Counties)
  • All Chief's are the X10 numbers, Fire 210, Fire 710 etc. with the exception of Huntington City Fire.
  • All Trucks numbers are X01-X09. 401, 505 etc. with the exception of Huntington City Fire.
