Mobile Medical Response

Unit Numbers: 301-305
1 BLS unit stationed at Manistee hospital and 1 ALS unit stationed at Station 160 in Maple Grove. This does change based on personal availability.

Manistee City EMS

Manistee City Fire/EMS has a full time ALS ambulance (Medic 5) that handles all calls inside of Manistee City limits. Medic 5 is often called to assist outside of city limits when MMR does not have a truck available or ALS intercept is needed. Manistee City EMS also has Rescue 5 that can be called upon that is a BLS ambulance.

Norman Township EMS

Station 140 in Norman Township has a paid-on-call BLS ambulance (145A)

Fire department apparatus callsigns are in reference to the station number. Each number 1-8 has a common apparatus that applies to that number. There are a few exceptions. The following is the common format:

01 - Primary Engine or pumping apparatus
02 - Squad/Tanker/Brush
03 - Tanker/Ladder
04 - Tanker
05 - Primary medical apparatus. Rescue trucks are followed by an R and ambulances are followed by an A. EX: 135R
06 - Tanker/Brush
07 - Tanker/Brush
08 - Tanker/Brush/Special Unit

For specialized units such as marine units and UTVs sometimes numbers are not used.

Another exception is Manistee City. Manistee City has their apparatus as 6XX (Same as Manistee City Police) Example: Norman Township - Station 140
