Md.Transportation Authority Unit IDs

All units are identified by their license plate number. For example, Unit TC17 has tag TC17 and P10 has tag P10.

  • 2xx are foot patrol units assigned to BWI.
  • CV units are assigned to the Commercial Vehicle Safety Inspection Unit.
  • H units patrol the Hatem Bridge.
  • HQ units are assigned to headquarters.
  • I units are assigned to the Inter-county Connector (Md. 200).
  • K units patrol the Key Bridge.
  • K9 are canine units.
  • L units patrol the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.
  • Motor x is a motorcycle unit.
  • P units patrol the Port of Baltimore.
  • Patrol & Posts 1-7 are units operating at Fort McHenry and Baltimore Harbor Tunnels.
  • SOD Special Operations Division.
  • TC units are Tunnel Command (used at Harbor and Fort McHenry Tunnels).
