Monmouth County (NJ) Specialized Teams

Monmouth County HAZMAT Team

Dispatched via Nextel and operates on either County VHF Fire Ops 2 or on the HazMat TRS Talkgroup. Unit numbers are 69H1, 69H2, 69H3, etc. This refers to the Monmouth County Fire district number 69 followed by H and the assigned number.

Monmouth County SCART Team (Serious Collision Analysis Response Team)

The SCART Team responds to fatal and serious motor vehicle accidents in Monmouth County. It is comprised of officers from various municipalities as well as members of the County Prosecutor's Office who are specially trained in accident reconstruction. Communications are via Nextel and/or County Car Channel. Also involved departments may be advised via the County Hotline.

MOCERT (Monmouth County Emergency Response Team)

The Monmouth County Emergency Response Team (MOCERT) integrates tactically trained officers from numerous municipal police departments to form one team. They respond and handle many situations, such as Special Weapons And Tactics, high-risk warrant service, hostage rescue, barricaded suspects, active shooters and dignitary protection.

Monmouth County Marine Task Force

Area Network of Northern Shore Water Emergency Responders under the command of the County Fire Marshal's Office. It is comprised of Fire and EMS volunteers from Keyport, Union Beach, West Keansburg (Hazlet), Brevent Park (Middletown), Atlantic Highlands, Highlands, Sea Bright, Navesink (Middletown), Fair Haven, Red Bank and Little Silver. The Task Force works in conjunction with law enforcement agencies from Monmouth County Sheriff's Office (Marine 1), NJ State Police Marine Bureau and U.S. Coast Guard. It primarily responds to water emergencies in the Raritan Bay, Sandy Hook Bay, Shrewsbury River and Navesink River.

ANSWER Team

Area Network of Southern Shore Water Emergency Responders. It is comprised of volunteers from Avon, Bradley Beach, Neptune City, and Neptune Twp. It responds to water emergencies in the four municipalities, as well as Ocean Grove, and provides mutual aid response to other municipalities when requested.
