New York State Region 5 HELP Trucks

NYSDOT Region 5 - Buffalo:
The HELP program for NYSDOT Region 5 began in 2002. Since its implementation, hundreds of HELP Surveys have been received praising the program, rating it excellent, and recommending it continue. In 2008, HELP was expanded to include the Youngman Expressway, I-290.
Each HELP vehicle patrols a specific segment of the roadway called a "sector", the combination of one or more sectors creating a "beat". There is one beat in Region 5 that patrols sections of the Kensington Expressway (NY Route 33) and the Scajaquada Expressway (NY Route 198), and one beat for the Youngmann Highway (I-290).

HELP trucks in Region 5 (Bufflo) Operate:
- Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 10:00 am and 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
- Hours are expanded as needed for special events and holidays.
