The NSRS - Nevada Shared Radio System, as of August 2004 appears to be launching in earnest. Most of the sites here have been altered to reflect those that have been confirmed and those that have yet to be confirmed. Any site number beginning in 9 needs to be confirmed and if you travel to this area would you please confirm the freqencies and report back here as a submission or in the Nevada Forum. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Call signs are normally given as a letter designator (indicating Agency) then a 3-4 digit number (identifying work being done, rank, and individual).
Letter Designators: A NHP Administrative duty B State Brand Inspector H Highway Patrol Units JP Juevenile Probation worker P Nevada Dept of Parole & Probation PV Dept of Prisons Transport Vehicle
Number Series: (NHP) 100's Division Chief/Deputy Chief 2000's Majors & Captains 3000's Lieutenants 4000's Sargeants 6000's Traffic Enforcement Troopers 7000's Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Troopers 9000's Civilian Employees
Examples: (H)enry 6242 is a regular traffic enforcement trooper (H)enry 7340 is a commercial vehicle trooper (A)dam 4289 is a Sergeant on administrative duty
Site Numbering: EDACS systems reuse site numbers. Confirmed site numbers are numbered below 9000 with the right two digits indicating the site number.
