DEPARTMENTS
Sanitation Services & Fleet Management
The Department of Sanitation Services & Fleet Management handles two major functions: Collection of trash and garbage and maintenance of the city's many vehicles. The department provides dependable, efficient sanitation services to city residents and businesses by collecting garbage and trash and the enforcement of municipal ordinances and state statutes that pertain to code violations. The department also operates the Central Garage, which maintains the fleet of city vehicles, from automobiles and trucks to specialized equipment.
Public Works and Facilities Department
The mission of the Public Works and Facilities Department is to provide courteous and quality service, while maintaining the city's infrastructure (parks, facilities, streets, sidewalks, stormwater systems, street lighting, parking facilities and traffic control devices).
Pensacola Energy
Pensacola Energy, the largest municipally-owned natural gas utility in Florida, is owned and operated by the City of Pensacola. Pensacola Energy provides natural gas service to City residents and much of unincorporated Escambia County.
